WOD - October 10, 2013

I went to the gym tonight - yea!  My legs were sore from last night's WOD (thanks to Melissa!), which is a great, but at the same time I was a little weary about how my run was gonna go.  It went OK....and here's the breakdown:
  • 2 mile treadmill run.  My legs were pretty much like jell-o tonight!  It was a struggle to keep them moving!  I did a handful of short walking spurts and still finished in the usual 20ish minutes.  Just glad it's over :)
  • Planks.  I've said it before and I'll say it again,!!  I just feel like they really work the total body - even though their 'target' is usually said to be abs, do you agree??
    • 2 sets
      • 90 second plank/30 second rest
  • 3 Supersets for Triceps
    • 15 reps of standing overhead triceps extension with 15-lb dumbbell
    • 12 reps of triceps dips (legs fully extended)
My abs, shoulders, back and triceps were exhausted after this short strength workout - mission accomplished!!

  1. I love planks, we do them in yoga constantly and they're great for your core. Better than crunches!
