WOD - October 13, 2013

I'm not even sure I can call this a workout.... I really had nothing to work today because every muscle in my body is sore (in a good way!) and I honestly didn't have the time/energy to go to the gym for a run.  We had a busy morning at the pumpkin patch and I really just needed to chill this afternoon while the little one was napping.  I did a small, little something so I'm calling it my WOD!  Take it or leave it! #WYCWYC (what you can, when you can!)

  • Calf raises holding a 15lb dumbbell
    • 5 sets of 25 reps (seems simple enough yet the last few of each set started to burn!)
  • Push-ups
    • 5 sets of 12 reps - plain, simple and effective!
So that's that!  Anticlimactic, right??  I know, it was for me too!  But it felt good to work my calf muscles because I never really specifically target them during a workout.  And a push-up, well, I love a good push-up!

I'm off to dinner with my family (my kids and hubby, my parents and my grandparents) - we try to do this once a week...usually on Sunday night before everyone gets crazy busy with the work week!

    1. Thanks! Yea, it's a little crazy with the kids - it was a long day so they were a bit on the cranky side! - but it's always nice to just be together! We went for Italian and it was YUM! Have a good night :)
