WOD - October 17, 2013

I was thisclose to not working out today.  It was a busy day and tonight I have ANOTHER night out with some girlfriends!  This is so out of the ordinary for me - and I really don't like eating out during the week...it's bad for my wallet and my waistline!  But for my girlfriend's birthday about 10 of us are going for Greek food & wine tonight...and I'm not complaining!

I had only a few minutes before I had to hop into the shower so I utilized my time wisely and actually had a kick butt leg workout - in 10 minutes!!!  This is how I felt afterward...


As I'm rereading this post before publishing I'm realizing that this is a terrible picture and I totally should have IG'd it!  Whatev - The good, the bad, the ugly, right??

The workout was 2 5-minute rounds.  Each round was 50 seconds of the (body weight) exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest.  And during each exercise I pushed it at MAX effort...I was really pushing myself because I wanted a good workout in a seriously short amount of time!

1 ROUND (5 minutes)
* Squats
* Walking lunges
* Calf raises
* Mountain climbers
* Wide stance squat pulses

I had to pause for half a second during both the calf raises and the squat pulses because 50 seconds of those exercises was a loooong time!!

Needless to say I was sweating at the end of this workout...you can even see a bead of sweat dripping down my stomach in that picture....well maybe you can't...but I swear it was there ;)

Anyway, if you have 10 minutes this workout will get your legs screamin' - in a good way!  I'm off to my 2nd night in a row out on the town!  Woo hoo!  #momsgonewild #nokidsallowed #Ihopetobehomebefore10 ;)

  1. Congrats to you on a good workout!! You must feel tired, sore and amazing!! Isn't it funny how feeling 'bad' after a workout feels so good?!

      Dinner with the ladies was great!! I could sit and eat hummus and pita forever! :)
