WOD - October 18, 2013

I'm here early to report on my WOD!  I love days like this :)

So my little guy and I headed to the park for a walk - I was thinking, while we were strolling....I should be using my jogger stroller (DUH!)!  I will start implementing that immediately!

I have the Baby Jogger Summit 360 and it is just so much lighter and easier to maneuver on a walk/run than my 'everyday' stroller - which is the Peg Perego Pliko Switch.  I happen to really love both of these strollers, if you're in the market for one!

Back to my WOD, which is why we're here, isn't it?!
  • 1.5 mile walk in about 23 minutes.  It's about 80degrees and sunny here so I got in a nice little sweat!
  • Planks.
    • 2 minute plank
    • 1 minute plank (would have been 2 minutes except my little one decided to spill water all over himself - someone went shirtless for my 3rd plank set - and it wasn't me!)
    • 2 minute plank
After that was all said and done we left.  He had no shirt on, my elbows and forearms were killing me from the terf that I was planking on and we were both hot and thirsty (he had finished/spilled all of his water AND mine lol).

I'm going to do a quick bicep/triceps workout now(with 7lb dumbbells for the curls) before we go pick up my older one from school.
  • 3 supersets
    • Bicep curls: 10 reps
    • Hammer curls: 10 reps
    • Dips: 15 reps
My advice for this workout (for any superset workout really) is to only take as much time as you need between supersets...you want to really just exhaust the muscles!  It gives you a great burn!

My legs still aren't really sore from yesterday's workout but I expect that to kick in by tomorrow am!

What workout are you doing today?
It's FRIIIIIDAYYYY!!  Any exciting plans for the weekend??

That's a long time to hold a plank, impressive! Sounds like a fun day.
