Isagenix 30 Day Cleanse - Days 1 & 2

2 days down!

Starting this cleanse is really like anything else...taking the FIRST STEPS to commit, sign up, order products & begin the program were the hardest.  Now that I'm in, I'm just doing it!

I'm not a quitter - so I really think I'll see this to the end. And the accountability of (1) starting this with my mom & sister and (2) having all of you in-the-know about it is definitely helping me want to succeed even more!

So, why AM I doing this??

I WANT to sleep better!
I WANT to think clearer!
I WANT to lose some weight!
I WANT to have energy!
I WANT to drop the habits of unnecessary snacking & "closet eating." <-- **news flash - those foods still have plenty of calories even if no one saw you eat it!**

So, my short recap for the first couple of days....I'm doing OK! I actually really like the taste of the shakes - either 2 scoops of chocolate or 1 scoop of chocolate + 1 scoop of vanilla - especially in the Ninja with ice blended for a minute or so. They're keeping me full and I honestly enjoy them. And it's SUCH an easy, well rounded breakfast!

I am also loving the milk chocolate IsaDelights - they are creamy and delicious! (I keep them in the fridge and then, as a midday snack, break one up into 3-4 pieces and let them melt in my mouth...yum!) I'm so happy that I was encouraged to add these to my standard 30 day cleanse pack. And I'm looking forward to being able to have them on cleanse days, too!

I've been super motivated and cooking delicious dinners for the whole family to enjoy! ((NO photos because ...I forgot! And this is why this whole blogging thing is just a hobby! lol))

  • Day 1 was shrimp, veggies & brown basmati rice!
    • The shrimp was precooked. I tossed raw broccoli & cut up squash & zucchini in a little olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Bake at 425*F for 10-15 minutes. While that's in the oven, toss shrimp in the same "mixture" as above & put in the oven too, continue to bake for 15(ish) minutes.
    • Use your judgment on time, and stir/flip veggies & shrimp often!
    • Just a little bit of rice for me! (I know it's not following the plan exactly but I wanted it!)
  • Day 2 was Crock-Pot salsa chicken with quinoa & steamed broccoli!
    • EASIEST Crock-Pot recipe ever! Just toss in a couple of jars of store bought salsa (or make your own!) with some raw, thinly sliced chicken breasts & cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. You should be able to pull apart the chicken when it's ready. Done & done!
    • Again, just a little quinoa for me!
The longer I'm doing the program, the more I'm learning about and loving the products....& the more I'm learning about the business! I'm so excited to share my journey and hopefully help some of you in the process!

Remember to check out the website & reach out with any questions!

Today is a CLEANSE day! One minute at a time....that's the way I'm going to attack it...stay tuned!!
